Squatti is made by one person. Email nagarajanseeni.dev@gmail.com and you will usually hear back within a day.
The app has a built-in Alarm Check under Settings that tests your alarm permission, your ringer volume, and Silent mode in one screen, then rings a real alarm five seconds later so you can hear it the way you will tomorrow. Start there if anything about the alarm is not working.
The alarm did not ring
Squatti schedules through Apple's system alarm service, so a scheduled alarm rings at your ringer volume through Silent mode and through Focus. When one does not ring, it is almost always one of these five things. They are the same steps Alarm Check shows inside the app.
- Open Settings, then Sounds & Haptics.
- Drag the Ringtone and Alerts volume all the way up.
- Turn off Change with Buttons, so a stray volume press cannot lower it.
- If Squatti is hidden or locked with Face ID, iOS will not ring it. Unhide or unlock the app.
- Quiet only when you look at the phone? Turn off Attention Aware Features in Face ID & Passcode.
Two more things worth checking:
- Alarm permission. Squatti needs permission to schedule system alarms. Alarm Check shows this as Allowed or Not allowed, and the home screen shows a banner when an alarm is switched on but permission is missing. Tap the banner to fix it.
- A second alarm at the same minute. If Apple's Clock app is set to the same minute, iOS decides which one alerts and the result is not predictable. Move one of them.
If the alarm still does not ring after the Alarm Check test, email me the iPhone model and iOS version and I will help.
The alarm rang but was too quiet
The alarm plays at your Ringtone and Alerts volume. Apple gives apps no way to raise that, so no app can make itself louder than that slider. Set it near maximum and turn off Change with Buttons. If it is loud until you look at the phone and then drops, that is Attention Aware Features in Face ID & Passcode.
It rang again after I stopped it
That is deliberate, and it cannot be switched off.
Dismissing the alarm with the slider, the side button, or a volume button silences that ring, but it does not mean you got up. So Squatti queues a chain of follow-up alarms before the first one fires, spread across about two hours. The whole chain is cancelled the instant your last squat is counted. Finishing the squats is what ends the morning, not stopping the sound.
There is always a way out. The challenge screen has an emergency skip. It asks you to type a pledge sentence word for word, and you get three a month before the sentence gets longer each time you use another one. Skipping stops the alarm and counts as a missed wake-up, so it resets your current streak.
The camera is not counting my squats
- Give the app camera access. Without it the challenge cannot count reps. You can still use the emergency skip to stop the alarm, so you are never locked in.
- Add light. Detection needs enough light to see your body. Turn on a lamp, or open a curtain the night before.
- Get your whole lower body in frame. The app needs to see roughly hips to ankles. If it asks you to move back, move back. Lean the phone against something at about knee to waist height rather than holding it.
- Squat a little deeper and a little slower. A rep counts when your knees pass a depth threshold, your hips actually drop, and the movement takes longer than a fast bounce. A shallow or very quick bob is ignored on purpose, so the count cannot be cheated.
- Turn off Strict Mode if you are struggling. Strict Mode raises the depth requirement. It is a per-alarm setting, with a default in Settings.
Detection depends on light, clothing, camera angle, and how you move, so it will never be perfect. If a morning goes wrong, the emergency skip is there.
Subscriptions, restoring, and cancelling
Squatti Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. A three-day free trial is available on the yearly plan. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid subscription begins automatically.
- Restore a purchase. Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Use this after reinstalling, or on another device signed in to the same Apple Account. It re-checks your subscription with Apple; it does not charge you again.
- See or change your plan. Settings, then Manage Subscription, which opens Apple's own sheet. You can also go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Cancel. Cancel through Apple, in the same Subscriptions screen. A subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You have to cancel through Apple.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If a purchase or restore fails, email me the exact message you saw and roughly when it happened.
Your data and privacy requests
Your alarms, streaks, history, wake-up reason and preferences are stored on your iPhone, and camera frames are analysed on-device and discarded immediately. Nothing about your alarms is uploaded. The app does send anonymous product analytics and crash diagnostics.
To ask for access to, or deletion of, those anonymous records, email me and include the analytics ID shown in the app under Settings, then Privacy Policy. Without that ID there is no way to find your records, because they are not linked to any name or account.
Full detail is in the privacy policy and the terms of use.

Email nagarajanseeni.dev@gmail.com. Including these four things gets you a useful answer on the first reply:
- your iPhone model and iOS version
- the app version, shown at the bottom of Settings
