Applies to: Stitchside: Row Counter for iPhone and iPad ("Stitchside"). Provider: Nagarajan Seeni, trading as NaguBuilds. Business location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Contact: nagarajanseeni.dev@gmail.com.
These Terms describe the conditions for using Stitchside and its optional Pro features. Please read them before using the app. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Nothing here removes rights that applicable consumer law gives you and does not allow you to waive.
The app licence is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These app-specific Terms supplement that licence; they are not a replacement custom EULA. They do not replace Apple's App Store purchase terms or mandatory consumer protections. The applicable App Store licence controls any conflict concerning the licence itself, including its applicable-law provisions. Section 14 governs disputes under these supplementary Terms only to the extent consistent with that licence and mandatory law.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or meet any higher minimum age required by the law where you live. If you cannot legally agree to these Terms on your own, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf and supervise your use and purchases.
Stitchside requires a compatible iPhone or iPad and a supported system version. The current app supports iOS and iPadOS 18 or later. App Store purchases also require an eligible Apple Account and are subject to Apple's rules.
2. What Stitchside provides
Stitchside helps you organize knitting and crochet projects, read imported patterns, keep row, round, or stitch counts, and record notes and progress. Its tools include pattern positioning and annotations, counters, an optional timer, and user-directed backup and restore.
Stitchside records the actions and values you enter. It does not automatically inspect your craft work, verify the accuracy of a pattern, or guarantee a finished result. Check important counts, measurements, instructions, and saved progress before relying on them.
We do not operate an online project-storage account or automatic project-sync service. Restoring a purchase restores eligible Pro access; it does not recover projects from another device.
3. Free use and Pro features
Stitchside is free to download and can be used without a purchase. The upgrade offer is dismissible.
Free use allows two Active projects. Completed, Archived, and Recently Deleted projects do not occupy an Active slot. Reopening or restoring projects as Active is subject to the available allowance. Reading existing work, immediate Undo and Redo, backup, and recovery do not require Pro.
Pro is available through a Monthly subscription or a Lifetime purchase. Both provide the same Pro capabilities while access is valid, including more Active projects, up to eight total counters per project, repeat sections, project duplication, browsable history, and up to 50 named checkpoints per project. Device storage and technical limits still apply.
The offer shown before purchase describes the features being purchased. We do not promise unlimited device storage or that every future separate product or service will be included.
4. Prices and payment
Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. The purchase sheet shows the applicable localized price, billing period, taxes where applicable, and any offer before you confirm. Prices and available offers can vary by storefront.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account in accordance with the confirmed purchase terms. We do not collect payment-card details. RevenueCat helps display upgrade offers, validate purchases, and determine access, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat remotely supplies upgrade screens and product offerings. Their layout, wording, and available offers can vary with the app version, language, App Store region, and offer eligibility. Before you confirm a purchase, review its actual price, payment frequency, any trial period, and renewal terms. A change to an upgrade screen does not silently change the terms of an existing purchase; subscription changes remain subject to Apple's process and applicable law.
If the app cannot load or verify a product, it may temporarily prevent a new purchase or paid action. This does not turn Free use into a mandatory purchase.
5. Monthly Pro subscriptions and trials
Monthly Pro is an automatically renewing subscription. It renews for another month unless you cancel under Apple's applicable subscription terms. Renewal charges may occur within the 24 hours before the current period ends; cancel at least 24 hours before that end if you do not want renewal.
An introductory free trial may be available for eligible customers. The actual offer, duration, eligibility, and price after the trial are shown before purchase. A preview or onboarding screen does not start a trial. A trial starts only after the corresponding purchase is confirmed through Apple.
Unless cancelled in time, a free trial converts to the paid Monthly subscription shown at purchase. Apple determines eligibility. Trial cancellation may end trial access immediately, depending on Apple's terms. This policy does not promise a trial of a particular length to every customer.
To manage or cancel, use Settings on your iPhone or iPad → your name → Subscriptions → Stitchside, or the app's subscription-management action. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
Deleting or offloading the app, stopping its use, disabling notifications, or emailing support does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through Apple.
If you opt into an available local trial reminder, it is a convenience only. Notification permission, device settings, or changes made on another device can affect delivery and accuracy. You remain responsible for cancellation; a missing reminder does not itself cancel billing or determine refund eligibility.
6. Lifetime Pro
Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It has no recurring subscription charge and does not renew. It is not a Monthly trial.
“Lifetime” means ongoing access to the purchased Pro features without a recurring fee while Stitchside remains available and compatible with your device, subject to these Terms, the applicable licence, and consumer law. It is not a promise that the app, Apple services, every operating-system version, or every device will be supported forever. This does not permit us to disregard rights attached to your purchase or mandatory remedies if the purchased service changes or ends.
Buying Lifetime Pro does not automatically cancel an existing Monthly subscription. Manage that subscription separately through Apple to prevent further renewal charges. No automatic refund or credit for overlapping access is promised; any refund request is subject to Apple's process and applicable law.
7. Restore, refunds, and loss of Pro access
Use Restore Purchases in Stitchside to check eligible purchases associated with the Apple Account used to buy them. Restoration can require a network connection and successful verification by Apple and RevenueCat. It does not transfer your local project library.
To request an App Store refund, use Apple's refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple assesses requests under its policies and applicable law. Contact us for help with app or access problems. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory refund or other consumer remedies.
EU consumer withdrawal and remedies
If you are an EU consumer, applicable law may give you 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason. For paid digital content supplied without a physical medium, that right is lost after supply begins only where the legal conditions are met, including your prior express consent to immediate supply, acknowledgement of losing the withdrawal right, and the required contract confirmation. Different rules can apply to a service contract. Merely accepting these Terms or starting the app is not a blanket waiver of withdrawal rights.
Use Apple's purchase or withdrawal process where Apple handles the transaction; contact us if you need help or have a claim relating to our obligations. This does not make an Apple refund decision your only legal remedy or remove a withdrawal right that remains available by law. Cancelling future subscription renewals and exercising a statutory withdrawal right are different actions.
EU law also protects conformity of digital content and services. Where applicable, you may be entitled to have a problem corrected without charge, or to a price reduction or contract termination and reimbursement under the conditions set by law. Necessary updates, including security updates, must be supplied for the period required by law. The Free allowance, Lifetime description, and warranty wording do not override these rights.
If a subscription expires, a purchase is refunded or revoked, or ownership cannot be verified, access follows the verified purchase status and the app's Free limits. Losing Pro does not delete your projects. Existing saved work remains available for reading, export, backup, and recovery; new Pro actions or additional Active projects may be restricted. Applicable project-state and storage limits still apply.
8. Your content and third-party patterns
You retain your rights in the content you create. Imported patterns, images, and documents remain the property of their respective rights holders. Importing a pattern into Stitchside does not give you ownership of it or permission to redistribute it.
Only import, copy, annotate, export, or share material you are entitled to use. Respect a pattern designer's licence and copyright. A backup or export function does not grant permission to share someone else's work.
We do not acquire ownership of your projects or require a licence to publish your private library. The app processes your content locally to provide its tools. If you choose to send content to support, we may use that copy to address your request, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Local storage and backups
You are responsible for keeping a usable copy of work you want to preserve. Stitchside stores projects locally and cannot retrieve a server copy for you. Device loss, deletion, storage failure, or an unsuccessful save can cause loss. Keep important backups outside the app and check that the chosen destination actually saved them.
A .stitchkeep archive can contain project data and imported pattern copies. It is not password-protected or encrypted by Stitchside. Choose a suitable storage destination and share only with intended recipients who are entitled to receive it.
Recently Deleted normally provides a 30-day recovery period. You can permanently delete a project earlier; expired items are removed when the app performs cleanup. Permanent deletion cannot be undone through the app. Existing external backups may still contain copies. Archiving a project preserves it and is not a backup outside the app.
Apple and any file or backup provider you choose control their services. Import, export, backup preparation, and purchase restoration are distinct operations; none is a guarantee of automatic cross-device project sync.
10. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Use the app lawfully and within the applicable licence. Do not use it to infringe other people's rights, distribute malicious files, bypass purchase validation, or interfere with the app or its supporting services.
Stitchside's code, design, branding, and supplied materials belong to us or our licensors. Restrictions on copying, redistribution, modification, and reverse engineering are subject to applicable law and any rights granted by open-source component licences. These restrictions do not limit rights you already hold in your own content.
11. Updates, availability, and support
We may update the app to improve functionality, address security or reliability, meet legal requirements, or support platform changes. Some updates may change supported devices or system versions. We will respect applicable notice, conformity, refund, and other consumer obligations when changing or discontinuing paid functionality.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every future device, operating system, pattern file, or external provider. New purchases and purchase verification may be unavailable during service interruptions.
For app support, visit our Support page or email nagarajanseeni.dev@gmail.com. Include the app version, device and system version, and a description of the problem. We do not promise a fixed response time. Apple is not responsible for providing our app-specific maintenance or support; its role is described in the applicable App Store terms and licence.
12. Warranties and liability
Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, Stitchside is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee error-free operation, the accuracy of third-party patterns, preservation of every unsaved action, or a particular craft outcome.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including lost business opportunities or profits. We do not accept responsibility for failures of independent services outside our control, except to the extent the law makes us responsible.
These provisions do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. They do not remove statutory warranties, reasonable-care obligations, or consumer remedies. Any applicable licence limitation also remains subject to those protections.
13. Ending use
You can stop using Stitchside at any time. Export any work you want to keep before deleting the app, and separately cancel any Monthly subscription through Apple.
Your licence can end under the applicable licence terms, including for a material breach where permitted by law. Ending use does not erase statutory rights or obligations that should continue, such as payment obligations already incurred, intellectual-property protections, and the resolution of existing disputes.
14. Governing law and disputes
Indian law. These supplementary Terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, subject to the mandatory protections below and the Standard EULA's precedence for matters governed by that licence.
Chennai courts. To the extent an exclusive choice of court is legally permitted, the courts of competent jurisdiction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these supplementary Terms, and you and we submit to those courts. This clause does not give a court powers it does not otherwise have under applicable law.
Mandatory consumer and privacy rights. If you are a consumer, choosing Indian law does not remove mandatory protections under the law that would otherwise apply, including those of your country of habitual residence. Where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home courts, you retain that right; you are not required to bring every claim in India. Any proceedings we bring against a consumer remain subject to mandatory rules protecting that consumer's choice or place of court. Nothing here limits a complaint to a data-protection or consumer authority, or a judicial remedy available under applicable data-protection law.
The Standard EULA and Apple's purchase terms govern their respective subject matter. This section does not bind Apple to a different law or court, or replace the dispute provisions that apply to those separate terms.
Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. This is not a requirement to surrender or delay a legal remedy or complaint available under applicable law.
15. Changes and general provisions
We may update these Terms when the app, applicable law, or our operations change. The published version will show when it was last updated. We will provide notice and obtain agreement where required; changes do not remove rights already acquired under mandatory law.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. Translations may be provided for convenience; the English text is the reference except where applicable law requires otherwise.
The Privacy Policy explains information handling, including PostHog product analytics and RevenueCat purchase and paywall services. Agreeing to these Terms does not itself constitute consent to optional analytics.
